Te Mana Whakahaere

Te Mana Whakahere provides oversight in the spirit of the Kawenata which influences how Pukekaraka is governed –

  • Quarterly Governance Meetings
  • Strategic Planning
  • Relationship Management with Archdiocese
  • Health & Safety
  • Members (Kāhui leaders/Ohu Pūtea/Ngāti Kapu Representatives)
  • Relationship – Ngāti Kapu

It delegates its roles to three Kāhui that meet fortnightly under Ngāti Kapu leadership.

Kāhui Kaupapa Maori is responsible for Kāhui Whakahaere is responsible for Kāhui Ako is responsible for 
  • Kaupapa, Kawa and Tikanga
  • Pukekaraka Marae Committee

  • Ohu Pūtea
  • Ohu Whare Whenua
  • Ohu Arotake
  • Ohu Kura

Each Ohu has a facilitator who reports monthly to Ohu Whakahaere.
